I'll talk in OSCON 2006

April 13, 2006

I’ll give a brief 50 minutes talk about Plagger in OSCON 2006. This is the first ever talk in conferences outside Japan, spoken in English, which might be a bit exciting. But as a couple of people addressed out, the Perl tracks in this year OSCON are not appealing enough. I assume this is because not many people are going to OSCON only for Perl tracks, but also for other languages/technologies.

I made a submission of Plagger talk to YAPC::NA 2006 in Chicago as well, and YAPC will suit better for Perl geeks out there and I hope will have lots of interesting talks, just like we had in YAPC::Asia Tokyo.

Also, I have to clarify a bit about 5 years ago thing for Plagger. Yeah, feed aggregation is so 5 years ago. It is. But Plagger deals with lots of cool stuff which have been invented within a couple of years, or months, which makes itself really exciting.
