ANA mileages
Here’s how my current mileages looks like.
AnaI have 55k miles and with 1041 more miles I’ll get Star Alliance Silver status in 2007, which is quite possible with the next flight to San Fran sometime this year. It’s not actually bad. But the problem is how to use that 55k miles. ANA is so stingy that they don’t allow upgrading from the usual discounted economy class ticket.
I usually don’t mind flying with economy. I can quite kill my time with drinking beer/wine, hacking with the laptop, watching the movie (only if the flight is ANA. United doesn’t come with private screens) and reading the books. Upgrading to business class doesn’t solve any problems if the flight is less than 10 hrs. I’d probably accumulate more and take the free first-class flight to Europe or United States if possible, rather than upgrading to Biz class.
