House Hunt: 403 Main

IMG_0547 IMG_0548 IMG_0549 I always do things last minute. So I seriously started house hunting now that I set up a credit line and bank account, and the company won’t pay the short-term leasing fee anymore.

My criteria is, $1400-2000 1br in SOMA, Nob Hill or Mission distinct.

Here’s a list of facts about the room I saw today. (+) indicates positive, while (-) means negative stuff.

I’ll look at the other one at Howard and 5th tomorrow.

  • 403 Main, good neighborhood (+)- Unit 208, right front of the elevator (-)- 560 square feet junior bed room. Not that big but okay for me.- 24 hours security, secured access to the floor with elevator (+)- 2 Gyms, 1 Pool. Good community (+)- Laundry and Dryer included (+)- Big walk-in closet (+)- Bathroom has a bath tub (+)- $1999/month, $3000 security deposit (-)- Gas and Water payed by landlord, I need to pay Electricity, Cable and Internet (+)- Leasing terms: 1 year, not negotiable (-)- Transparent glass wall between Living and Bed room. Mirrored wall otherwise. Trendy but could be annoying since I’m not narcissitic.- All carpet, not hard-wood or concrete (-)
