Yay for paying less
So, yesterday I sigend up VVD communications and evaluated the service overnight. It looked quite good.
I paid $40 for the first month but by paying yearly it’d go down to $300/year, which is $25/month. I called the support today and negotiated to change it to the yearly subscription. They said there’s no problem, so I paid the difference $260 for an year contract over the phone (credit card). Yay!
I also called Comcast to discontinue their service. Even though I cancel the service mid of the month and I already have got the bill for the first month, they prorate the service fee with the days used and will send the correct bill in a few days. All I need to do is to return the modem to their payment center.
So I saved $120 or so today by making two phone calls. Nice. Customer support doesn’t suck in United States.
