Sublet my room

February 15, 2007

Because of the high tax ratio, I’m thinking I need to sublet my room in Tokyo to someone. My income/outgo is nearly equal now (esp. when I buy one thing expensive) and I feel financial problem on that :)

So here’s the deal … If you’re going to Japan anytime in 3 years (technically, until I quit working for Six Apart or come back to Japan for whatever reason) for business or for your own, you can use my room for 30,000 JPY/week or 100,000 JPY/month. It’d be cheaper than any city hotels in Tokyo and it’s considerably big (1BR + storage, 650 square feet). Free internet (FTTH: 56Mbps up/down. The real broadband!), nice bath, nice view faced to the south, 24 hours convenience store and supermaket in 3 minutes walk, fully furnished, 42 inch flat TV, hardwood floor. Utilities paid by me. It’s located in Musashi Kosugi (武蔵小杉) and it’s 15 minutes to Shibuya and 20 minutes to Yokohama. For 6Aers, it’s 20 minutes ride and 10 minutes walk to the SAKK office.

The contract probably doesn’t allow an official sublet, but I’m pretty sure they don’t check anything when you enter the building. I can pass you the duplicate key and you can say “I’m a friend of his taking care while he’s absent.” or anything like that.

Because it’s a sublet, I’d only do this for whomever I can trust. Hence this is a friends only post :)
