The Ataris and Blackpool Lights @ Slim's
This Town’s DisasterWent down to Slim’s for the Ataris with Blackpool Lights Show. I misunderstood the show start time as 9pm, which was actually 8pm. I arrived at the venue on 9pm and it was about to start the second band Blackpool Lights. It was a first time for me to see them live (or even hear their music) but it was really great. As I came back home I purchased their latest album “This Town’s Disaster” from iTunes immediately.
The Ataris live was also great. I didn’t like their latest “welcome the night” but when played live, it sounded much better to me. They also played old songs like “I O U galaxy”, “San Dimas High School Football Rules” and tunes from the previous album, like “Unopened Letter to the World”, “In This Diary” etc.
