Still without TV

May 16, 2007

I’m still without a TV set.

Wonder why? Because online shopping sucks in U.S and TV stand still hasn’t made it. Their site (hosted on Yahoo! store) said “Will ship within 3-5 days” and it’s already a month. No shipping done yet. Hoorah! Phone calls get no response except the answering machine. But I still get the “aplogy” email from the customer support guy once in a week. So it doesn’t look like a fraud at least.

Yesterday I received the email from the guy saying “I’ll get back to you the lates status and the reason for the delay within 24 hours.” and now it’s already 36 hours. And no updates yet, of course!

Now I’d like to cancel the order but wouldn’t like to waste my time for a battle with the (non-responsive) customer support to get the proper refund back for 3 months after the cacellation.

I’m not surprised nor angry about these things. Just expect that things are all broken by default in United States. Just fix it or have a patience if they are. You’ll feel very lucky if they aren’t.

If you want to be a patient man, just spending 12 months here would greatly help. You might need to run the risk of getting sarcastic like me in this post, though.

P.S. The good news is that the TV I want has been reducing its price for $300 while waiting for the stand. Awesome.
