PSP 2000 -- September 10th
Amazon.com: Sony PSP 2000 Console - Piano Black: Video Gameshttp://www.amazon…The PSP (PlayStation Portable) system is totally portable so you can play anywhere. Wireless connectivity makes for slick, no-hassles multiplayer gaming. Can’t wait the new PSP (PSP 2000 … weird name) out on September 10th. It’s almost 2/3 weight of the current model and has video output for the component cable.
I’ve been playing Monster Hunter Portable 2nd a lot recently with my friends in Japan using XLink Kai. Playing it with lighter device, probably connecting the video output to the TV screen would be an awesome experience.
PSP also has the Location Free TV client (kinda like slingbox) for free. I use Mac LFTV client without any problems but having more options is always a good thing, especially since Mac LFTV client doesn’t have a good option to deal with 16:9 aspect ratio.
The only concern is the length of the cable. I sit like 12” away from the TV and if the cable is not long enough, I need to buy the extension or something to hook the PSP to the TV. When playing Monster Hunter, I always hook the PSP with the power adapter anyway, so having 2 cables would be a bit awkward experience at the same time. Wish they have a remote controller option.
