Sony, it's too late.

Sony just unveiled the slimmer PS3 for $299, out in the early September.
I might have said “Oh yeah” and buy it if it was 2 years ago. But hm, it feels just a little too late. You (and Microsoft) have proven that I can just live without any home console for FIVE years. I have other entertaining things to do at home like watching TV, coding stuff, reading books, and well, playing some retro videogames on Nintendo DS and PSP.
I’m still fascinated by the new Xbox 360’s Project Natal and definitely want to check it out once it gets real, but meh, no PS3 for serious gaming at this moment, at least until big titles like Final Fantasy XIII is out :)
BTW $299 is a pretty good deal for a standalone Blu-ray player with DVD upscaling I guess :)
