Impress a * girl

The awesomeness of Google’s super bowl ad made me try the similar search query Impress a Japanese girl.
The result was that I should go to Izakaya for a nomikai. Hrm, i bet that’s not a great way to impress a Japanese girl. Actually if you do that for the first date i guess you’ll be doomed.
My friend suggested that I should modify the query to say Impress my Japanese girlfriend to avoid the part to hook up with. Oh well, now google tells me that I have to learn about Matcha, Japanese tea, to surprise your Japanese girlfriend.
I bet that doesn’t work, unless you’re a gaijin … :)
Finally just in case, I just changed the query in Japanese How to impress my girlfriend, and the result was, to pay $3000 to hire some “surprise planners/comedians” to impress your girlfriend.
Phew. I’m kind of surprised but feel relieved that Google knows less about how to impress a Japanese girl than I do :)
