The intelligent homescreen that simplifies your phoneStill rough on the edges, but i love the look & feel of the app, and the idea that the home screen changes its mode depending on the context: what time of the day, where you are, etc.
Obviously you can do the same and much more with custom launcher and shortcuts and alike, but the way Aviate unifies the UI and provides spaces looks great to me.
I think Android Home screen has been a missed opportunity: Facebook tried and failed (its Lock screen looks nice, but who wants to see FB updates when I need to use my phone!), Slide Screen is also a failed attempt although it looked awesome.
I guess Home screen apps can do a whole lot more — Just started using it today, and will see how it grows.
