In Taiwan now
So I’m now in Taiwan, Chupei city. I am here for just 4 days short trip as part of my 11 days Golden Week holidays.

Going to YAPC::NA
So YAPC::NA schedule is out. I’ll give two talks there: one for Plagger and one for Trickster (Hacking iTunes and PSP). The schedule apparently looks okay, however the only problem I can see is, my two talks were both scheduled at the end of the day.
BBQ in Hakone
The last weekend we went to Jun ‘s famili home in Hakone and did a BBQ. It’s a really huge house, with nice park in front. It even has a nice Onsen (hotspring) as a bath room. How gorgeous!
Singing in a wedding
This is me singing for my best friend’s wedding and wear a suit. Pretty rare shot.
Final Fantasy XII
So I bought and started Final Fantasy XII. Playing with 42 inches plasma display and my wonderful surround system, this just looks like Cinema. The motions of characters are just very fabulous as in scenaries in some milestones.
Chupei.pm Hackathon
Just like I did back in January, I will fly to Taiwan. The target date is April 27 to May 1st. It’s kind of very short but I can expect some of Chupei.pm social events, mostly Hackathon #2.
I'll talk in OSCON 2006
I’ll give a brief 50 minutes talk about Plagger in OSCON 2006. This is the first ever talk in conferences outside Japan, spoken in English, which might be a bit exciting. But as a couple of people addressed out, the Perl tracks in this year OSCON are not appealing enough. I assume this is because not many people are going to OSCON only for Perl tracks, but also for other languages/technologies.

What's your fondest pet memory?
I never have had pets. But I had nintendogs once, just for a week. I always get tired of games for a day or two. A week is considered a bit longer than usual.

YAPC::Asia
YAPC::Asia 2006 Tokyo was a great success. I want to thank everybody for coming to the conference, especially amazing speakers from abroad. (perl community)++
Amazon errors
Amazon It’s annoying I never am able to add CD from Amazon. I suspect our interenal network or HTTP client usage is wrong, not Amazon’s web service being this unstable. Search for music works fine but adding ALWAYS fails.
Dashboard linking to profile?
Dashboard has a quick link to posts from your friend. Userpic there linking to their profile is not intuitive to me. Many times I made a mistake to click userpic, rather than title to see individual entry page. It should better link to his/her blog index, namly same as “View More from …”.
Nice food, gadgets and smoking

Re-installing the XP OS
IMG_4372My ThinkPad X40 @work recently gets really really slow. I’ve been accustomed to the slowness of it, but after 2 months of absence I used my home PC (Toshiba Dynabook SS S9 with Windows XP), it was way fast!

Plagger 0.5.6 was released. This release adds 6 new authors and 15 new plugins.
4 days to Go!
Now I have only 4 days to go. On this Saturday I’ll fly back to Tokyo after 2 months of absence.
