Who’s the most annoying person on TV?
Heroes - Season 1Just started watching Heroes. Yes because I just got my TV lately, I have tons of shows like this (24 S06, Lost S03 and Prison Break S02) that waits for me watching.
BookingSo far I’ve been failing to book the cheapest flight … am on the waiting list for 3 flights, and 1 booked with no purchase yet.
On Friday evening I went down to Mountain View to join the party at jkondo’s place. There were a couple of friends from Hatena and the drink and food were so great.- Because no one was interested in driving me to the Caltrain station and everyone else were staying at his house as planned, I stayed at his place as well.- Next morning he gave us a ride to the SFO airport and then SOMA for me. Back home Saturday morning like 10am.- Was still a bit sleepy and had a random nap while watching F1 US Grand Prix qualifying round.- Did some hacking to write media-rss-server.pl, which scans windows Hard Disk drive and publish RSS 2.0 feeds with enclosures and MediaRSS. It makes me easy to subscribe from my HTPC mac using Democracy Player. Also added a hack to generate thumbnails for the movies using ffmpeg.exe. Works great.- Woke up 10am Sunday morning.- Saw La Liga Espanola final round (Real Madrid v. Mallorca) and the ending was exciting. Watching SopCast peer-to-peer streaming from Mac (by connecting VLC to Windows) just worked.- Also watched F-1 US Grand Prix on Fox TV. The video quality was great but there were too many commercials, like every 10 minutes. I’ll skip watching the next French GP on Fox.- It was 5pm and the outside was still shiny. I took a walk to Embarcadero and finished reading Everyone Worth Knowing. It’s clearly not the greatest book for this year, but I’ve been enjoying it for a few weeks.- Had a good BBQ pork ramen and shrimp fried rice in House of Hunan, which is getting to my weekly habit.
Current Situation:
Norman Nunley, ex-coworker of Artur in fotango is currently in the Bay area (Berkeley) and Artur and I had a dinner with him in Westfield food court (I forgot the name of the restaurant but it’s a great vietnamese one).
Co-worker Satoshi got a new baby coming out, whose name is “Kai” (櫂). He was born in USA and has a choice of citizenship between Japan and USA when he gets 20.
A lot of people have been wondering what it is that I have in my userpic, and today a couple of people took photos of them having the same thing, and even there’s a web service that you can mashup my hand + the purple stuff with your own face photo.
Lazyvox Seattlers,
posting from Safari on Windows. Hooray!
I installed Democracy, the decent Videocast client program on Mac mini and am enjoying the High-Def content from the Web, like Rocketboom, Ask a Ninja and Diggnation. (Some of them might not be technically HD but the quality is good enough).
IMG_1901Hooked up the Mac mini to the new TV. So far it’s been great.
Just to make sure my vox blog doesn’t get full of rants or wtfs.
BURGER KING relaunched in Japan 7 years after their backdown, and there’re 700 people waiting in line for 1.5 hours to get the food. Waiting 1.5 hours for BK! It’s always amazing how Japanese people love to wait in lines: Krispy Kreme and Coldstone Cremery are the recent examples.
because of Amazon.com’s awesome Amazon Prime service membership, the TV stand I ordered Sunday night was supposed to come today by 5pm.
I went to see the movie “Knocked Up” in the westfield on last Friday with Steve and Lisa. It was from the same director with “40 Year Old Virgin” and the movie itself was entertaining as hell.
I enrolled the Visa automatic payment for PG&E on May 4th, the current statement went out on **May 11th **with the due date June 1st (last Friday). The site says the payment happens automatically on the due date, but it didn’t happen (of course!)
I consider this as a opportunity to proceed the videos I haven’t seen
I’ve got unlimited invites for Dopplr.com now. Message me your email address if you want one.
IMG_1716Very tasty lobster in Summer Shack that we had right after my arrival on Sunday night. So yummy.
