I need to admit that ZARD was one of my favorite J-POP singer during my highschoolhood. She didn’t appear in the public that much but her voice was really wonderful and the songs were truly “pop”, even sometimes too poppy and the melody she tried to follow was awfully out of the line.

Police and SAT shot and killed by an ex-yakuza (Japanese mafia), but they still didn’t even shoot the criminal. Maybe because the police was afraid of being criticized by the (way stupid) mass media and journalism by killing citizens, Japanese police/SAT is not allowed to shoot the criminal before they actually shoot. And this time they didn’t shoot back even though multiple policemen and SAT members were shot (and dead afterwards).

Don't make it too hot in summer
On Sunday, because it was a freaking nice weather, I said every day should be like this during summer. But I need to withdraw what I said. Last night was really warm and my room doesn’t have an air conditioner, so couldn’t live up without the windows being open until 11pm or so. Since it’s SOMA it’s not too loud outside, but I hear certain amount of sound from Bay bridge etc.

The New Amsterdams
Worse for the WearThe New AmsterdamsI’m ashamed of the fact that I’ve been completely ignorant about the New Amsterdams, the band of Matthew Pryor who was the singer of the Get Up Kids. Big thanks to last.fm Neighborhood player, which made me aware of this great band, that everyone who likes the Get Up Kids will like. (I tuned in to “the Similar artists to Blackpool lights” for an hour and found a couple of interesing bands that I didn’t know)

IMG_1583Just came back from MxPx’s show at The Slim’s. The show rocked. They played lots of old songs and familiar songs. There were lots of crowds and strangely I felt like I’m the only Asian there. (Obviously not but there were too many whites!)
