Bottomline: I had been paid by Six Apart KK till November 16th and I **paid **all taxes to Japanese tax revenue on that date. I’ve been paid by Six Apart US from Nov.17th.

I went to BestBuy again to see Samsung LCD/Plasma/DLPs in action and was almost sold to the DLP HLS5687W. It’s an ugly DLP rear projection but not thick as the other makers, and the picture quality is awesome, as long as you can sit almost straight in front of the screen, which is possible in my room.

Currently I’m using Location Free TV and its Windows client to connect to the base station in my apartment in Tokyo. This works great but sometimes I feel the latency annoying.

Blooming snow on the race tonight
Blooming Snow, the horse I have 1/40 shared ownership is going to run in the race after 6 months of break. This time the competitors might look stronger, but the jockey is Take Yutaka, the world class superstar and I wish her a win!
American nickname
IMG_0819I need my american nickname to make my order at Starbucks easier. These days I use “Tatsu” to make it short but some clerks still don’t get it. I want something standard but that sounds similar enough to distinguish. Well, they don’t call the name anyway if it’s not too busy, so anything like Brian, David, Andrew, John or Jack would work though.
Sublet my room
Because of the high tax ratio, I’m thinking I need to sublet my room in Tokyo to someone. My income/outgo is nearly equal now (esp. when I buy one thing expensive) and I feel financial problem on that :)
